We offer a fairly simple model of cooperation. We build software (a website) that goes onto the Client's server. All the code is placed there, and the Client always has access to it. They pay for the licence once and use it for as long as technical conditions allow. We have Clients who have kept their websites based on Ewitryna.CMS (the predecessor of SmartSpot.Cloud™) running for as long as 10 years without updates (we do not recommend this approach, but those are the facts).
Times have changed, and security seems to matter more than it used to. The world of marketing has changed too. That is why, for websites based on SmartSpot.Cloud™, we offer a stable service package that updates the libraries and provides long-term support for the development of the CMS and, just as importantly, has a price set in advance. One annual fee, no surprises.. Not purchasing updates, or modifying the software yourself, obviously leads to the loss of warranty and support, but nobody switches the website off in that case. It is a lifetime licence. That gives a sense of security.

SmartSpot.Cloud™ was designed for companies planning active content management and online growth. If all you need is a static one-page site with basic contact information, our solution offers far more possibilities than you will use. It is like buying a sports car to go shopping - you can, but it is not optimal.
Organisations that require .NET technology
.NET is a technology that requires more expensive servers and a specialised team. It is not a typical technology for websites. We have clearly opted for the very popular PHP programming language, which was created specifically for web applications. PHP is simpler to maintain, cheaper to host and has a huge community. If you are looking for something in .NET - we cannot help. SmartSpot.Cloud™ is PHP.
E-commerce projects
We deliberately do not build an online shop. We do one thing, but we do it very well - company websites that run without failures. E-commerce is an entirely different specialisation requiring payments, logistics, warehouse management and a different kind of updates. It is better to choose a tool created specifically for online sales. Our solution can be used to present the company, and separate shop software to sell products. This is a common and safe mix. However, SmartSpot.Cloud™ is not an e-commerce tool. It has no shopping basket, couriers or similar solutions.
Those looking for free solutions
SmartSpot.Cloud™ is neither free nor open source. Professional support, a guarantee of operation and continuous updates have their value. Free solutions often mean hidden costs - your time spent solving problems, the risk of failure, no technical support. If your budget does not allow for an investment in stability - we understand, but this is not the solution for you.
Enthusiasts of "tinkering" with code
If you like modifying source code yourself, SmartSpot.Cloud™ is not for you. We have deliberately chosen stability and security, because this benefits both the business and larger IT departments. We work with companies. You can still interfere with the code, but it means losing the warranty and automatic updates - the key advantages of the system. It is a lifetime licence. You have access to the code, but you may not copy it and you may not resell it.
WordPress fans looking for an "improved WordPress"
SmartSpot.Cloud™ is a completely different approach - it is security ensured by ease of use (reducing the problems that arise from the work of a team of editors) and advanced built-in features. We have said "No" to ad hoc patching of vulnerabilities and to impractical, risky reinstallation and updating of plugins. If you know WordPress and our model does not convince you, there is not much we can do here. We work with businesses for which the savings associated with failure-free software and a flexible marketing department matter. However, we do not deprive Clients of a certain flexibility - they can always order an individual solution prepared for them, and they can also use the documentation of external partners and implement a front-end solution in the website code (for example, you can choose the paid Cookiebot instead of our free solution supporting Google Consent Mode). It can be done. In general, however, it is a closed system and therefore secure. The key advantage is that thanks to this change of approach we have been able to offer a fixed service fee, rather than a fee based on the variable cost of man-hours. This makes it possible to plan budgets. It is a trade-off.
Users counting on a plugin store
SmartSpot.Cloud™ is a closed system with no plugin store. All functionality is controlled by a single team - which means zero conflicts, zero security holes from random developers, zero surprises. If you expect to be able to install any add-ons from the community - this limitation may not satisfy you. We have chosen security over experimentation. Remember, however, that there are solutions that can be embedded as HTML scripts - our system fully provides for this.
